As our CBSE students embark on the new academic year of 2024-2025, Global Indian International School Kuala Lumpur (GIIS KL) is abuzz with excitement, welcoming both new and returning families to its vibrant community. With a commitment to excellence and fostering a strong partnership between parents and educators, GIIS KL kicked off its orientation programs with a flourish!

On April 3rd, the auditorium buzzed with excitement for both our new Kindergarten and Standard 1 families, as well as parents of students joining Standards 1-5. Ms. Muthu Lakshmi, our Standard 1 and 2 Coordinator, warmly welcomed new parents. A whirlwind tour via PowerPoint covered everything from class timings and book lists to uniform requirements, ensuring a smooth transition. Meanwhile, the admissions team rolled out the red carpet for parents of Standards 1-5. Ms. Dipti Joshna addressed the gathering, setting a collaborative and enriching learning journey for the years ahead.

Both sessions focused on building a strong foundation, introducing school policies, dedicated staff, and the exciting curriculum that awaits our new and returning students.

A day earlier, on April 2nd, GIIS KL hosted parents and new students joining Standards 6-12. The air thrummed with anticipation as Ms. Bhuvaneswari Veeraraghavan, our Vice Principal, and Segment Coordinators took center stage. Their informative presentations explained everything from the examination system to the fantastic faculty members who will be guiding students on their academic adventure. A lively Q&A session cleared any lingering questions, ensuring parents felt confident and informed.

These orientation days were more than just information sessions – they were a chance for the GIIS KL community to come together. This sense of community perfectly aligns with Gem 8, Community and Care, of our 9Gems holistic education framework. The events also embodied our commitment to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
